A decade of difference in Dorset
Established in 2015, the last decade has seen Castleman Healthcare grow to provide support for over 130,000 patients and dedicated healthcare professionals across Dorset.

Facing new legislation that prevented individual practices from providing NHS Health Checks, SmokeStop, and contraceptive services, Castleman Healthcare was formed. It's owned by the 12 general practices spanning the Poole North, Wimborne & Ferndown, and Crane Valley primary care networks.

These practices collaborated, creating Castleman Healthcare to successfully tender for and deliver these crucial services at scale.

Today, it offers essential healthcare services and provides crucial business management services for its members and for the Dorset General Practice Alliance that represents every GP in Dorset.
“Over the past decade, we've delivered game-changing advancements including launching specialist diabetes and respiratory services that educates and empowers patients and clinicians, and established the East Dorset Frailty Hub with Dorset Healthcare, which now supports over 600 new patient referrals every single month.” said Chief Executive Officer Fiona Cleary.

Fiona continues “But our impact goes deeper. We've provided vital wellbeing and HR services for practice staff that combats burnout and stress and I am personally really proud of this as it has a real positive impact on both the teams themselves and the patients they care for."
